I have an almost 3 year old and an almost 1 year old so I thought it’d be fun to talk about what I keep in my diaper bag now! I have a diaper backpack, instead of a traditional diaper bag. This has made carrying around stuff for 2 kids much easier. If you’re interested in my diaper bag, I got it here on Amazon!

These are what I NEED to keep in my bag at all times..
For the toddler:
-Extra underwear: Bailey is almost fully potty trained (still need to get through the nighttime potty training) but it’s smart to keep an extra pair in the diaper bag in case of an accident.
-Coloring book and crayons: Whether it is for a car ride, sitting in a store, or a restaurant, these come in handy!
-Snacks: I like to pack a few easy snacks like goldfish, granola bars, or pretzels. Food that will stay good if left in the car is a must because I ALWAYS leave the diaper bag in the car. This way, we can just use it the next day and it’s not a big deal. Harper is now eating what Bailey eats for the most part, so they typically share snacks. YASS!
For the baby:
-Extra pacifiers: Because we’ve all purchased one thousand of these things and they just disppear.
-Small toys: I like to keep a few small toys that don’t take up a lot of space in the diaper bag. Even a book would do as a “small toy” in our diaper bag.
-Extra outfit: Along with diapers and wipes, we try to keep one extra outfit in the bag just in case.
-Sippy cup: Our boy is drinking water out of a sippy cup so it’s taken some getting used to remembering to bring his cup! I try to remember a cup for Bailey, but honestly if she’s thirsty she can share my water if I forget. That’s one less thing I need to remember to bring inside.
-Receiving or muslin blanket. I use these for nursing, wiping faces/hands, or just for a blanket. They’re so versatile so it’s nice to have one in the bag!
I hope this helped you come up with ideas on de-cluttering your diaper bag and making it easier to travel! Let me know what you keep in your diaper bag that makes your life easier!
